A Place in the Suns Laura Hamilton looks chic at event following shock marriage split
A Place In The Sun star Laura Hamilton looked stylish as she attended an event for International Women’s Day, following her split from her husband of 13 years.
The presenter, 39, was attending an Ann Summers brunch in celebration of IWD next week, after sharing with fans that she had “big plans” for her new home after her split with husband Alex Goward.
Laura opted for a pair of blue skinny jeans and a white-shirt, which she wore under a smart black blazer.
The star, who last year opened up on her experience of an autoimmune disorder, then paired her outfit with platform black and brown heels and a simple gold and silver necklace to complete her look.
It comes after mum-of-two Laura announced her split from husband of 13 years, Alex Goward.
The presenter announced the news on social media in January this year, writing it's "not something I ever thought I'd be saying."
To share the sad news, Laura shared a photo of a quote which read: "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."
She then penned as the caption: "This isn’t something I ever thought I’d be saying but, after 13 years of being together Alex and I have separated.
"Our children are and always will be our number one priority and we would respect privacy for our family at this time. Laura."
The TV favourite wed Alex in 2012, and they share two adorable children together – Rocco and Tahila.
Laura previously told fans she was moving out of her family home in Surrey, after nine years there.
The couple transformed the property during their time living there, and Laura said "incredible memories" had been made inside the home.
She shared: "I wish I could say I look like this photo right now but I don’t because, since the start of the new year we have been packing up our home ready to move…
"Today we close the door and say goodbye to a home that we have loved and enjoyed for the last 9 years -the longest I have lived anywhere in my entire adult life!
"It was a home that we transformed (as you can see in the photos), but MORE importantly it was a home where we created some incredible memories that we will cherish forever…
"Change can be scary but you know what is scarier? Allowing fear to stop you from growing, evolving and progressing.
"When it feels scary to jump that’s exactly when you jump, otherwise you just end up staying in the same place your whole life, and that I can’t do…"
