Ben Affleck slams car door in dramatic moment with Jennifer Lopez, says expert

Ben Affleck’s patience is “running out”, a body language expert claimed while speaking exclusively with Express.co.uk.

He was only recently caught on camera slamming his car door while his wife Jennifer Lopez sat inside the vehicle, sparking speculation about the pair’s relationship.

In the clip, Ben, 50, is walking in front of 53-year-old Jennifer as he opens the car door for her so she can slip into the passenger seat.

He is then seen firmly shutting the door behind his wife, with a follow-up hand gesture to emphasise that it’s closed.

Fans were quick to accuse the Hollywood star of being “miserable”, with one suggesting that the couple might be “going through” something.

But in a chat with Express.co.uk, leading body language expert Judi James explained what she believes to be the real reason behind Ben’s actions.

She said: “This video clip with the car does suggest Ben’s patience might be running out.

“The couple did look happy before this moment so presumably it was the camera intrusion that was annoying Ben.

“He walks ahead of Jennifer as she motions towards the door of the car and he doesn’t look at her as she gets in, although he does (thank goodness) glance down before he slams the door.”

Judi told Express.co.uk: “He slams the door using a wide, dramatic sweep of his arm that is raised in an arc in what looks like a message to the photographer rather than his wife.

“He continues the engagement when he gets to the other side of the car by raising his left hand in a partial shrug that seems to signal ‘come on guys’.

“He actually signs off with a nod as he gets into the car.

“Fans of the couple will probably worry that, even if this is not a row between Ben and Jennifer it does look like a man who is getting fed up with the press intrusion.

“Hopefully though Ben is big enough and mature enough to cope with it this time around.”

Express.co.uk has contacted Ben’s representative for comment.

The stars were together for just 18 months before splitting up in 2004 and were engaged at the time.

Despite their break-up, Ben and Jennifer remained friends and rekindled their relationship in 2021 and tied the knot in July 2022.

Ben has three children with his ex-wife actress Jennifer Garner and Jennifer has two kids with her ex-husband Marc Anthony.
