Bradley Walsh fans are shocked as TV presenter’s real age is revealed while he celebrates landmark birthday

Bradley Walsh recently celebrated a landmark birthday but has left fans utterly baffled as a result.

The popular television presenter, who recently made a dig at Good Morning Britain star Piers Morgan, turned 60 on 4 June and, as a result, ITV marked the occasion with a one-off documentary which delved into the star’s life and career.

Bradley, 60, who is dad to Barney and Hayley, left school at 16 and worked as an apprentice jet engineer at Rolls Royce in Watford, before becoming a professional footballer for Brentford where he was spotted by a talent scout.

As a result, Bradley, who has been married to wife Donna Derby since 1997, went on to work as a bluecoat at Pontins in Morecombe, unfortunately spurred on by a series of ankle fractures ending his professional career as a footballer.

In 1997, Bradley’s television career began as he obtained the role of host on The Wheel Of Fortune in 1997 before becoming a Coronation Street regular, playing the role of Danny Baldwin from 2004 until 2006.

As a result of ITV’s recent documentary produced about Bradley, fans rushed Twitter to comment on the star’s age.

“Bradley Walsh is nearly 60? Hope I look that good at that age,” one person wrote, whilst another added: “HOW DID I NOT KNOW BRADLEY WALSH WAS 60 I THOUGHT HE WAS YOUNGER THAN THAT."

A third, just as shocked, penned: “@ITV brilliant Bradley Walsh show tonight such a multi-talented man, never believe he's 60! Happy birthday Bradley.”

"I can't believe Bradley Walsh is 60 today. It's really amazing. I have nothing but love for him," wrote a fourth.

Bradley’s popularity also comes from serving as host of The Chase for 11 years; a popular show which has seen the 60 year old also hosting celebrity and family versions.

In the ITV documentary about his life, we see Bradley’s pal, and fellow comedian, Jason Mandford taking a look back at Bradley’s career, including his stint on Doctor Who and Law and Order: UK.
