Brian McFadden and Mike and Zara Tindall raise £35,000 for charity with Celtic Manor Resort’s Celebrity Cup

Brian McFadden and Mike Tindall raised £35,000 for The Bubble Foundation charity.

The two stars joined forces with a host of other celebrities for a weekend of golf at the Celtic Manor Resort’s Celebrity Cup.

Boyband star Brian performed Westlife favourites on stage with the Red Arrows, whilst taking part in the star-studded celebrity golf competition, which took place in Wales.

The two-day golf tournament saw some of the biggest names in sports and showbiz swap paparazzi for putters in a bid to raise funds for The Bubble Foundation UK.

The charity supports the work of the Children’s Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at the Great North Children’s Hospital, where children from all over the UK and Ireland are treated for immunodeficiencies.

During the competition, President of the Bubble Foundation, Brian, met with former patient Macsen Oatway, aged five from South Wales. Macsen was diagnosed with a rare immune system disorder and underwent a bone marrow transplant as a baby.

He spent four months in the Bubble Unit at Newcastle’s Great North Children’s Hospital after the transplant.

With the Bubble Foundation’s support, he returned for regular treatment and has now made a total recovery and can lead the life of any normal five-year-old.

During the competition, Brian and his girlfriend Danielle Parkinson were also spotted looking loved up on the dance floor at the Celebrity Cup Gala Dinner, which took place at the Celtic Manor Resort.

Other celebrities in attendance at the event included Zara Tindall, actor James Nesbitt, Jenni Falconer, James Jordan and the cast of Mrs Brown’s Boys.
