David Beckham, 46, took to social media last night to debut his brand new look alongside two of his sons. The former England footballer sported peroxide blonde hair, less than a week after he was seen with longer locks at the Euro 2020 final at Wembley Stadium.
David smiled for the camera with his new do alongside his youngest sons Romeo, 18, and Cruz, 16.
He later shared the pictures with his 76.3 million Instagram followers.
While the former went blonde like his father, the latter opted to dye his hair a vibrant shade of bubblegum pink.
David is also dad to Brooklyn, 22, and only daughter Harper, 10, who he shares with wife Victoria.
Alongside his photos, David, who is well known for love of fashion, pointed out that he is the trend setter in the family.
“Sometimes the boys need reminding who did it first in the 90’s,” he wrote online, adding a laughing emoji.
“By the look on their faces they are not to pleased about it #DadDidItFirst @joshwoodcolour @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham,”(sic) he amusingly added.
Many took to the comment section of the post, including his wife, who gave her seal of approval.
“Dad did do it first and it looks even better this time round!!!! @joshwoodcolour,” the 47-year-old fashion designer said.
“Don’t worry boys it will be gone in a few weeks @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham,” David reassured his sons.
“Looks so cool,” their older brother Brooklyn chipped in.
“Dad did it first. Love that hashtag,” another user remarked.
Others pointed out that Romeo and Cruz would have trouble trying to come up with an original hair style that their dad hadn’t already tried.
Over the years, he has sported long blonde hair, a buzz cut, a mohawk and cornrows to name a few.
While some fans thought David looked like American rapper Eminem, others pointed out that this year’s haircut was most likely inspired by footballer Phil Foden.
“Phil foden appreciation society,” one user wrote, while another added: “The Phil foden cut,”
The 21-year-old England and Manchester City midfielder had bleach blonde locks when he took to the pitch during the Euro 2020 tournament.
Many said they would copy the hairdo if the national team won the final against Italy.
Unfortunately, England did not triumph on the night, but Gareth Southgate’s squad were the first England team to reach the final of a major competition since 1966.
David told the boys to “hold those heads high” when he took to the picture-sharing site to praise the team who had shown “courage, resilience and passion for our country at a time when we needed it so much.”
