Halsey Just Dragged a Troll for Blaming Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth's Breakup on Miley's Bisexuality

Believe it or not, it’s only been a couple days since the Miley Cyrus/Liam Hemsworth breakup news hit headlines, but there’s already an army of trolls being rude about it on social media. One of the many many fans not having it: Halsey!

The singer saw a particularly nasty comment about Miley on Twitter, and she stepped in to shut that shit down. When a critic named @theTigerbob outright blamed Miley and Liam’s breakup on Miley’s bisexuality, Halsey intervened.

“Hey tigerbob,” she wrote. “Doesn’t surprise me that ur saying this and ur page has u crying about Brie Larson too! Stop being afraid of women who aren’t afraid to do what pleases them and not other people :-)”

Has a smiley face ever looked so caustic to you? Just me?

Hey tigerbob. Doesn’t surprise me that ur saying this and ur page has u crying about Brie Larson too! Stop being afraid of women who aren’t afraid to do what pleases them and not other people 🙂 https://t.co/uPyB1cXE0D

In all seriousness, the idea that people who identify as bisexual are “never satisfied” and will cheat is a hurtful misconception and simply isn’t true, so kudos to Halsey for calling out the bias as she saw it.

For her part, Miley has been open and honest about her sexuality in the past, discussing it candidly in Elle‘s August issue before her breakup.

“I think it’s very confusing to people that I’m married,” she admitted. “But my relationship is unique. And I don’t know that I would ever publicly allow people in there because it’s so complex, and modern, and new that I don’t think we’re in a place where people would get it. I mean, do people really think that I’m at home in a f—king apron cooking dinner?”

Life’s a climb… but the view is great.

“I’m in a hetero relationship, but I still am very sexually attracted to women,” she added. “People become vegetarian for health reasons, but bacon is still f—king good, and I know that. I made a partner decision. This is the person I feel has my back the most. I definitely don’t fit into a stereotypical wife role. I don’t even like that word.”
