J.Lo Wears Suffragist White for Her Inauguration Day Performance

Jennifer Lopez hit the inauguration stage in true J.Lo fashion: in a showstopping, high-glam look.

Lopez performed a medley of “This Land Is Your Land,” “America the Beautiful,” and a shout-out to her 1999 hit “Let’s Get Loud,” while gracing the stage for the inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. Towards the end of her performance, Lopez addressed the nation by speaking two lines from the Pledge of Allegiance in Spanish, acknowledging the Latinx community tuning into the historical Inauguration today.

For her performance, Lopez opted for an all-white, suffragette-inspired suit by Chanel that included a sweeping overcoat, sequined wide-leg trousers, and a ruffled high-neck blouse. The singer paired the look with her signature dewy glam: shimmery eye shadow, flushed blush, and a nude lip.

Lopez documented her trip to Washington, D.C., on social media, sharing with fans the moments leading up to her performance. In one post, Lopez poses with National Guardsmen, who are providing security across the city in the aftermath of last week’s riot at the Capitol Building.

“What an honor to spend a few moments with these brave men and women. Thank you for your service and sacrifice. I honor you today and everyday. 🇺🇸 Tomorrow I sing for you and all Americans. ❤️🤍💙 #inauguration2021,” wrote Lopez alongside the clip.
