Speaking in a video interview with the Sun Online, Arg, 32, recalled how the emergency services had to knock down the door after he overdosed back in October 2019, which he had initially claimed was a 'misunderstanding'.
The singer recalled how he had locked himself in his home and "took drugs for three days straight on my own in the pitch black".
“I was at rock bottom. My heart was beating out of my chest, my nose was bleeding, I was shaking and my breathing was terrible.

"My family were banging on the door screaming, ‘Open up’ but I wasn’t answering the door to anyone. They feared I’d overdosed and was dead in the house.
He revealed how his door had been broken down and was told by the paramedic he could have died because of how much he'd taken and they were worried about the damage he had done.
James then explained how he put his life in more danger when he overdosed for a second time two months later the night before his birthday which is on 5 December.
He recalled to the publication how he was determined not to ruin the night because he wanted to be with his family and Gemma.
“But my addiction was so bad I couldn’t stop myself. I started early and was in a terrible place," he continued.
"I locked myself in, phone was off and my parents and friends were banging on the door again."

In 2014, James was suspended from TOWIE after failing a drug test, and in April 2016 Lydia Bright ended their relationship after she allegedly caught him taking drugs.
Then, in May 2019, he was kicked off the reality show again for failing another drug test. James has spoken in before about how he was hoping to put the incidents behind him, and had began therapy to help him deal with his other issues.
"My biggest problem is my eating disorder. I have always struggled with it since my teens," he said last year.
"When I’m in a bad place I binge eat, and when I put on weight it then triggers more issues. I have been aware of the issue for a long time, but I still struggle with it so I’m speaking to my therapist about changing my relationship with my food."
James unveiled his incredible weight loss transformation after returning back to the UK after being in rehab in Thailand revealing he was now 18stone.
He has been keeping fit during the coronavirus lockdown as he has also been snapped out for a cycle, while wearing a protective mask.
Since getting back Arg is said to be fully supported by Gemma, 38, and longtime best friend, Mark Wright, who has been phoning him to check in.
Arg proudly opened up about his transformation in a before and after picture on Instagram as he said: “I’m making progress, Inside & Outside,” followed by a praying emoji.
He then added that he was taking things slowly as he said: “One day at a time”.
