Kristen Bell’s daughter taken to hospital after slamming finger in the door
Kristen Bell had to take her daughter to the emergency room for the first time after the little girl slammed her finger in the door.
The “Good Place” star revealed on Instagram Thursday that her daughter, whose pouty face was hidden with an emoji, recently had her finger “smushed so hard in the door it popped like a jelly donut,” resulting in a hairline fracture.
Bell, 39, shares two daughters, Lincoln, 6, and Delta, 4, with husband Dax Shepard. It is unclear which of the girls suffered the accident.
The actress said her injured daughter was taken to the emergency room at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, where doctors discovered she had a hairline fracture.
Bell thanked the doctors and hospital staff for their “excellent care all around,” saying, “Thank you to all who helped my baby.” Shepard has not commented on the incident.
Bell and Shepard, 44, are known for keeping their kids’ identities private, often only sharing photos of their side profiles or the backs of their heads.
Shepard explained the couple’s decision in a 2014 Huffington Post op-ed, saying, “A photo from us won’t satiate curiosity; it will simply introduce a new character into the soap opera. We think out-of-sight, out-of-mind is the best defense.”
