Kylie Jenner says she and Travis Scott are broken and devastated after eight die at his gig

Kylie Jenner has broken her silence following the "mass causality incident" at her boyfriend Travis Scott's concert, which left eight people dead and hundreds injured.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, 24, posted a statement on her Instagram story the day after the tragic incident at a park in Houston Texas, where rapper Travis, 30, performed as part of his festival Astroworld.

She wrote: "Travis and I are broken and devastated. My thoughts and prayers are with all who lost their lives, were injured or affected in anyway by yesterday's events.

"And also for Travis who I know cares deeply for his fans and the Houston community. I want to make it clear we weren't aware of any fatalities until the news came out after the show and in no world would have continued filming or performing.

"I am sending my deepest condolences to all the families during this difficult time and will be praying for the healing of everyone who has been impacted."

Kylie, who is pregnant with the couple's second child, attended the event alongside their daughter Stormi, three.

Travis also posted a video on his Instagram story to speak about the incident, after earlier breaking his silence.

He told his followers: "I just wanna send out prayers to the ones that was lost last night. We're actually working right now to identify the families so we can help assist them through this tough time.

"You know my fans really mean the world to me and I always really just wanna leave them with a positive experience. Any time I can make out anything that's going on I just stop the show and help them get the help they need.

"I could just never imagine the severity of the situation. We've been working closely with everyone to just try rot get to the bottom of this – City of Houston, HPD [Houston Police Department], Fire department – everyone to help us figure this out.

"If you have any information please just contact the local authorities. Everybody continue to just keep your prayers."
