Louise Thompson so proud as fiancé Ryan Libbey attends first therapy session

Louise Thompson took to social media on Thursday 14 July to praise her fiancé Ryan Libbey for attending his first therapy session, while she has been readmitted to hospital.

The formerMade in Chelseawrote alongside a snap of Ryan bathing their baby son Leo in the bath: “So proud of this guy (dad award of the year) heading to his first therapy session this evening”.

Ryan, 31, suffered a “mental health crash” and isfacing his own battle with post-traumatic stress disorderalong with Louise, after he saw her come close to death twice duringthe traumatic birth of their son Leo last November.

Louise remained in hospital for five weeks after the birth but has continued to endure psychological and physical health issues and wasreadmittedto hospital days ago.

On Wednesday 13 July, Louise’s team confirmed she was back in hospital by posting a statement saying: "Louise is unfortunately back in hospital for a little while and is therefore taking a break from social media.

"Like all of you I am sure, we wish her a speedy recovery and are sending her all the love."


In light of her hospital admission, Ryan took to Instagram to share sweet snaps of their son Leo “keeping busy”.

He captioned the adorable pictures of the tot playing with a xylophone: “We’re keeping busy til mummy comes home from hospital”.

Ryan went on to repost it on his Story, writing: “We miss you mummy”.

The personal trainer also took to his Story to thank people for their messages of concern.

He wrote: “Thank you to all the people today sending me well wishes to myself and Louise. I’ll update you when I can. Thank you again”.

Both Louise, 32, and Ryan have had to come to terms that the road to recovery is long and despite never really talking about what they endured in the early stages since Leo’s birth, they can now see the benefits of professional support alongside their family and friends.

In a previous Instagram post, Louise said Ryan “still lies awake” at night to check she is still alive and has had to seek therapy for his PTSD, along with her.

When a fan asked how Ryan was doing, Louise responded: “He had to hold the fort. He was strong, strong, strong and then some more strong and then BAM he had an almighty crash. We never actually talk about what has happened between the two of us.”
