Love Island star Sharon Gaffka has said she'd be open to dating a woman after previously discussing her sexuality in the villa.

Speaking to new! magazine in a chat with TOWIE star Bobby Norris, Sharon explained: "I think if I met somebody and I really liked that person, then I would. But because I never have, I’m questioning myself."

Sharon also revealed that she was keen to get back into the world of dating but admitted being in the public eye did make things trickier.

"I genuinely wanted to meet somebody in the villa and I do now," she explained. "As an Asian, mixed-race woman, dating can be very s**t. Especially when you’re a race that is hyper-sexualised and fetishised in pornography."

Discussing the possibility of meeting someone new, she continued: "It doesn’t have to be a celebrity! I just want a nice person. But anyone not in the public eye might be put off if people come up to me and ask for pictures or get papped.

"I went out for drinks with Chuggs as friends and that was in the newspaper. Is every date I go on going to be in the paper?"

Sharon revealed recently that a candid chat about sexuality with the girls in the villa had been cut.

The Department of Transport worker, 25, shared she had been in a threesome in the past to find out if she liked girls or boys, and later said she had more detailed conversations with Faye while in the villa.

Speaking to Metro Online, she said: “I had a conversation with Faye about it and she asked, 'Are you bisexual?' And I said, 'It's something I've explored but I've never been in a relationship with a woman.'

"A lot of the conversations I had about modern dating on the show were never aired, but I was very open about sexuality and being a mixed-race woman in modern dating."

Sharon also admitted to Bobby that she was concerned about trolling since leaving the villa and putting someone she dates through scrutiny.

She explained: "I am conscious about it. My brother has had trolling off the back of me being on Love Island, so do I really want to bring someone else into a situation as well? If anything, it’s made it even more complicated!

"However, I get fewer dick pics on Instagram now – so there are some silver linings!"
