Love Island’s Sherif Lanre addresses claims he’ll ‘REKINDLE’ relationship with Anna Vakili after her exit from the show
Love Island’s Sherif has responded to claims he will “rekindle” his romance with Anna Vakili after she was dumped from the island.
Anna is now single after her romance with boyfriend Jordan Hames fell apart, with the duo being dumped from the island on Wednesday’s show.
Sherif, who was coupled up with Anna before he was kicked off the show, has now taken to social media to address fans who questioned if they’ll get back together.
Sherif, 20, took to Instagram to write: “To any one asking if I’m going to rekindle, I passed the torch and mandem fumbled it, I’m not involved,” alongside a crying-laughing emoji.
Sherif and Anna were coupled up during the first few weeks of the show, and a romance blossomed before he was kicked out following a joke fight with Molly-Mae Hague.
Revealing the reason for his shock exit, Sherif told The Sun: “I did kick Molly-Mae in the groin area but it was an accident and she 100 per cent was not injured afterwards.
“She flinched and bent over to protect herself. Then she stood up and seemed fine and we started laughing about it.
“I turned to Tommy Fury and said, ‘That was a c*** punt.’”
He added: “I have never used the word before and I realise how insulting it is to women.
“As someone raised by a strong and loving mother, I want to say that I would never intentionally offend women.
“I was completely wrong and I apologise.”
