Maroon 5’s ‘Girls Like You’ Remains Atop Adult Contemporary Chart

Maroon 5‘s “Girls Like You” has remained atop Billboard‘s Adult Contemporary chart for 28th week, matching the record for the longest reign on the chart.

According to Billboard, “Girls Like You” topped the chart for 28th week on the list dated June 29, which ties with the record held by Uncle Kracker‘s “Drift Away” featuring Dobie Gray, which also led for 28 weeks in 2003-04.

In March, Maroon 5’s video for “Girls Like You,” featuring Cardi B, Camila Cabello, Ellen DeGeneres and Jennifer Lopez, reached more than two billion views on YouTube in just 10 months. The video has garnered more than 2.2 billion as of now.

“My goal is to make songs that don’t sound dated 10 years later,” Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine said in an interview.
