Missing X Factor star Levi Davis’ passport found in Barcelona, police confirm
The passport belonging to missing rugby player Levi Davis has been found in Barcelona's port area, Spanish police have confirmed today.
The Celebrity X-Factor contestant was last seen on October 29 at the Old Irish Pub just off Barcelona’s La Rambla, and police officers have been investigating his disappearance since.
His worried mum, Julie, had revealed that the 24 year old's passport had been found, but no information had been announced as to its whereabouts.
A spokesperson for the Mossos d’Esquadra police force has now confirmed that the travel document was discovered in Barcelona's port area, although no further information on its location has been shared with the public.
The spokesperson told The Sun: "I can confirm it was found in Barcelona Port. I am not in a position to give out any more information on exactly where or when it was found."
On Monday the police said that they are looking at "all options" as to the reason for Levi's disappearance. At that time a spokesperson said: "At the moment this case is being investigated as a disappearance and a lot of work is still being done.
"We’re talking about a person who could have disappeared for many reasons. They could include a voluntary disappearance or otherwise.
"We can’t link it to any criminal act at this stage and we wouldn’t until we were 100 per cent sure we are looking at a crime.
“All hypotheses are being looked at and are on the table.”
It comes after an unconfirmed sighting of Levi was recently reported to Levi's agent and close friend Tom Varndell, who revealed this information to The Mirror.
Tom said: "They said, ‘I shouldn't have told you anything in the first place, but I saw the tweets and felt bad.’
"They said he was seen at Placa Sant Agusti this morning (Monday, November 14), which is usually transited by homeless people.”
Tom shared that the eye witness reported Levi looking "lost and confused" in the tourist area in Barcelona, and that the information had been shared with West Midlands Police and the Spanish Police force.
He said: “He seemed lost and confused apparently. If it is Levi, God knows what state he’s in right now."
Levi appeared on Celebs Go Dating in 2020 alongside Love Island’s Shaughna Phillips, Geordie Shore star Chloe Ferry, and TOWIE’s Pete Wicks. That same year he also came out as bisexual, in a Whatsapp message to his teammates, later thanking them for their support.
He started out as a rugby player for the England Under 18s and 19s international before going pro when he signed for Bath in December 2017. He was loaned to Ealing in 2019 and currently plays for Worthing Raiders.
