Dancing On Ice 2021 contestant Myleene Klass, 42, has revealed the true extent of her injuries following her nasty fall, which resulted in her hospitalisation. The star was taken to A&E after sustaining multiple injuries to her foot, after stacking it during rehearsals.

I feel almost embarrassed by my injury, because it’s not very sexy

She took to Instagram to tell fans she has broken her big toe and torn the cartilage in her knee.

Myleene, who was voted off first on the hit ITV show last month, is now receiving treatment to fix her torn meniscus, which acts as a shock absorber between your shinbone and thighbone in the knee.

Despite her pain, a spokesperson for the show insisted she was determined to carry on and not let the torn cartilage ruin her experience.

But the mum of three admitted at the time she had to wear knee supports on both legs, as she also suffers from a “dodgy” second knee.

In a series of uploads from the hospital, Myleene could be seen filming her bandaged toe and having her knee checked over.

Talking about the injury, the TV star said in a recent interview: “I feel almost embarrassed by my injury, because it’s not very sexy. I feel like a nana.

“It is very painful, but it’s just not very sexy when you say your knees have gone,” she admitted.

“Learning to dance on ice is no easy feat. On land I feel like I’m quite stable, I can do my turns and get my counts to the music.

“But as soon as you remove the land and replace it with a very slippery surface it does all manner of things to your joints,” she added.

Myleene described herself as a “tin man”, revealing she has to “manipulate and move things” before she gets out of bed.

“I thought it was going to make me feel as if I was 16 again but it’s made me feel like I’m 116,” she told The Sun.

The presenter had multiple falls on the ice during her training, with one that looked rather serious as footage from a rehearsal session saw her whack her head on the floor.

In the clip, she was spun around numerous times by her professional partner Lukasz Rozycki, before the couple lose their balance and fall to the ground.

The slowed-down video capture’s Myleene’s head slamming onto the ice.

“When Dancing On Ice goes wrong…” she wrote alongside the clip, which she shared with her 375,000 followers.

Talking about that specific incident, Myleene explained that she had been suffering from blackouts.

“I have banged my head on the ice already,” she said before posting the clip.

“There are loads of things I am learning as I go along, but I didn’t realise that when you do the spins, you can have a little mini black outs when you get dizzy.”

She said it was a “very weird feeling” to fall over from a stationary position.

Dancing On Ice airs Sunday nights at 6pm on ITV.
