The New Mutants is on top at the box office.

The Marvel movie opened to $7 million from 2,412 theaters in North America amid the pandemic, THR reported Sunday (August 30).

“There are still significant challenges facing the marketplace due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic (Hurricane Laura is also a concern to pose issues in parts of the south).”

One of the creators of The New Mutants is not so happy with the movie, however.
