Paloma Faith transforms her look as newly single star unveils hair transformation

Paloma Faith has gone bold with a deep purple bob.

The popstar, 41, known for hits such as 'Picking Up the Pieces' and 'Lullaby', attended this week's annual British Fashion Awards in London, where she debuted her brand-new look.

Together with the hair transformation, the newly single mum-of-two, who split up from her long-term partner Leyman Lahcine, 35, this year, caught the eye with a floaty, illusional dress draped over a tight-fitted skin-coloured frock.

Over the years, Paloma has been known for her vivid hairstyles, including that long curly ginger get-up, and a short and spiky strawberry choice.

Just last month, an insider informed The Sun that the songstress was "living her best life" and is "very much single".

“Paloma and Leyman have ended their relationship and she is very much single. She was living her best life at Jonathan [Ross's Halloween] party and was the life and soul of the bash," they shared.

“Everyone wanted to be around Paloma and she made it clear she is ready to get back out there and start enjoying life.

"Things between Paloma and Leyman became strained over the past year and they’re no longer together – although they co-parent their children together."

Elsewhere at the Fashion Awards, Love Island legend Maura Higgins, 32, was noticeably absent from the scene after teasing her social media fans with a cameo.

Appearing on camera to explain the situation, she revealed that she was still in the hotel while the red carpet was filling up with the likes of The Crown's Elizabeth Debicki, 32, and Amanda Holden, 51.

"So guys, everyone is messaging me like, Where are ya and where are the red carpet pictures? I've had a bit of a nightmare," she began.

“So obviously you can see I am fully ready. Glam team are on point as usual. Basically…. the dress, the shoes, everything wasn't something I'd wear…. I just feel it's not very appropriate for the Fashion Awards….

"I obviously do like to go daring, you guys know that, but I just feel, I don't know. It's just not right. So yeah, I've decided not to go. I'm still in the hotel as you can see," Maura added.

Her silver gown had been custom-made by iconic designer and ex-Mulberry creative director Scott Henshall – dubbed 'King of the Red Carpet' by his peers after having dressed Samantha Mumba (in the world's most expensive dress, no less), Karen Millen OBE, runway model Iris Law and Dame Kelly Holmes in his time.
