Rylan jokes he’s having a ‘midlife crisis’ as he unveils new hair and teeth
Rylan has joked he's going through a "midlife crisis" as he's got new teeth and is in the process of going blond.
The 33 year old, who recently said his mum is "absolutely fine" after being diagnosed with skin cancer, appeared on Lorraine to discuss his new podcast called Reuniting Showbiz Friends before opening up on the changes he's made since his split from Dan Neal.
Lorraine Kelly, who is turning 62 today, first started the conversation by plainly asking if the former Big Brother star is okay as she said: "Because as we know, you've been through a break up and it's tough anyway Rylan, but obviously when you're in the public eye it's difficult, but you're getting there…"
Rylan smiled as he explained: "I am, I am. I wasn't good, I'm not gonna lie. I think everyone knows that, I'm normally on telly every five minutes. I apologise you have to see my mug all the time.
"I took four months off, it was needed actually. 10 years I've been doing this job. Yeah, maybe the time off is exactly what I needed. But I'm good, I'm good."
He then joked about his new hair and teeth after he got his famous veneers removed as he said: "I'm obviously going through a midlife – trying to dye my hair blonde, new teeth, so yeah…"
The ITV presenter gushed: "I like the new hair! I have to say I don't see much difference in the teeth," to which he responded: "They're a lot smaller, yeah. They're still there though!"
He went on to recall the previous night as he said: "I was hosting the Hairdresser Awards last night so imagine walking up to the Hairdressing Awards going, 'Hi everyone! 1000 hairdressers, I'm still lifting the black out, don't judge me.'
"So we're getting there."

At the end of the show Lorraine once again addressed how well Rylan was looking after taking time off from work.
"I think you were right to take a little bit of time now," she explained. "It's like you've come back to yourself, which is really good."
She added: "A lot of people have a huge amount of affection for you and people were really worried.
