Tory Lanez Pleads Not Guilty In Shooting Of Megan Thee Stallion
Tory Lanez has pleaded not guilty to charges related to the shooting of rapper Megan Thee Stallion.
Lanez was arraigned in Los Angeles on Wednesday, November 18. Lanez is due back in court on January 20, 2021.
The Canadian rapper, whose legal name is Daystar Peterson, was charged in connection with the shooting incident involving Megan, which resulted in the “WAP” singer being hospitalized.
He faces one count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and one count of carrying a loaded, concealed firearm in a vehicle.
If convicted on both charges, Lanez faces a maximum sentence of 22 years and eight months in prison.
On July 12, Megan and Lanez were pulled over in California’s Hollywood Hills. Lanez was eventually arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, while Megan was handcuffed but later sent to the hospital.
Megan later revealed that she was shot several times in both her feet. She also posted a graphic photo of her wounds, which she later deleted.
