YouTube Star Alex ‘Sir Kipsta’ Dragomir Dead at 17 After Very Hard Surgery: He’s Too Weak to Survive

Confirming the inspirational teen’s passing is his sister who tweets via his account that her brother’s ‘heart couldn’t take it anymore’ after a seven-hour operation.

AceShowbiz -YouTube star Alex Dragomir has sadly passed away at a very young age of 17. The inspirational teen, who was known online as Sir Kipsta, died on Thursday, June 10 after undergoing a seven-hour operation on his heart.

Confirming the sad news was Alex’s sister, who tweeted via his account on late Thursday, “Helllo , as you all might already know my brother passed away today he had a very hard operation which lasted 7 hours but his heart couldn’t take it anymore ,he was too weak to survive.” Calling her brother “Baby angel” who “was my rock my everything,” she added, “Heaven gained another angel… . RIP Alex.”

In a separate tweet, Alex’s sister credited his fans’ support for making him through so far. “Thank you so much to those who supported Alex thru his hospital journey you all been so amazing,” she wrote. “you all kept him going gave him the energy to carry on ! All the messages kept his head up . He carried on due to all the nice support he had from twitter. RIP Alex.”

Alex’s former school also confirmed his passing. Cockshut Hill School announced via its own Twitter account, “@CockshutHillSch It is with great sadness, the news of ex student Alex Dragomir @KipstaUnited passing away today. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this difficult and sad time. R.I.P Alex.”

Alex’s school also posted a tribute.

Alex, who was remembered for his passion for the Manchester United soccer team and his ability to remain upbeat, had been open about his medical journey after he was diagnosed with heart failure. He revealed via social media that he needed a lifesaving heart transplant.

In what now has become his final message to his followers, Alex asked his fans to “pray” for his recovery prior to having the surgery. “Going in for a life saving procedure,” he tweeted on Wednesday, June 9, “if it don’t work then it’s been a great time people thank you for all you’ve done for me but we pray we see it through and we pray we get fatter and fitter after it for them to see progress and not say they can’t do anything after surgery.”
