A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie Delivers Fourth Studio Album 'Me vs. Myself'
Bronx rapper A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie has dropped off his fourth studio LP, Me vs. Myself. Although the album was initially slated for release in November, Boogie shared that he would be delaying its debut to avoid putting himself in competition with Drake and 21 Savage’s Her Loss.
A month later, the rapper has returned with 22 tracks across a little over an hour. After opening with “Food for Thought,” Boogie linked with Roddy Ricch for “B.R.O. (Better Ride Out.” Later in the album are two collaborations with Lil Durk and features from G Herbo and H.E.R.
Most excitingly, there’s a sequel to Boogie’s 2017 hit single “Drowning” with Kodak Black. The two join forces once again for “Water (Drowning 2),” which features a similar beat to the iconic original.
“This feels like my best project in that way where I can really listen to something in the car, something in the crib at the same time I was going out, still hearing it in the club,” Boogie told Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe. “This is my favorite vibe right now.”
A headlining tour for the album will kick off on February 7 in Denver, Colorado, but before that, Boogie will deliver a one-night only, sold-out show at Harlem’s famed Apollo Theatre on December 16.
