Adele adds two New Year's shows to sell-out Las Vegas residency

Adele’s Las Vegas residency got off to a triumphant start, so much so that she’s already added two more shows!

The Easy On Me singer kicked off her highly-anticipated Weekends With Adele residency on Friday night, and it’s safe to say it was worth the wait.

Adele, 34, famously broke down in tears when she cancelled her shows amid the pandemic, apologising to fans for not having it ‘ready’.

But she came back with a bang, and now she’s looking forward to seeing in 2023 on stage at The Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace.

The Grammy winner, who received a standing ovation for her opening show, will also perform on Friday, December 30 as well as Saturday, December 31, 2022, meaning some very lucky fans will get to spend their final hours of this year with her.

Announcing the new dates, she shared an edited snap to Instagram, which showed her smiling on stage, wearing a pair of 2023 glasses and popping a bottle of champagne.

‘New Years Eve has always been a let down for me, I seem to always end up spending it in a car on my way to or from somewhere!’, she began in her caption.

‘But not this year!! I’ll be ringing 2023 in on stage!! I dress up to the nines on NYE and I would love it if those of you that come would too! Let’s go all out black tie vibes.’

Tickets for the two additional nights will be available through Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan service.

Registration is open until 11:59pm PT on Monday (November 22) and the Verified Fan pre-sale begins at 10am PT on Wednesday (November 24).

Only fans with a unique code will be able to access the ticket sale and tickets will be available on a first come, first served basis.

If the initial Las Vegas residency ticket sale is anything to go by, the next lot are sure to sell like hot cakes, with resellers later flogging tickets for thousands of pounds.

Following her opening night in Vegas, Adele grew emotional, describing her first show as ‘perfect.’

‘Thank you so much for coming back to me. It looks just like I imagined it would, it’s just perfect, thank you’, she told the audience, taking in the spectacular set and packed crowd.

She added that she was ‘so nervous’ as well as ‘happy’, and proceeded to perform her biggest hits, including Hello and James Bond theme song Skyfall, with a piano bursting into flames in the background.
