Last Pick Unveils Elevated Take on Classic Silhouettes With Latest Collection
Since hosting “The Residency” pop-up last year, Last Pick has been working on its latest collection, continuing its intricate garment-by-garment design process.
Possessing an ethos rooted in crafting timeless pieces reinterpreted for a modern wardrobe — Last Pick’s values champion the idea that the pieces bought will be the last garment needed in the wearer’s rotation, with each product fitting together to create a full look. Built to last, and designed to be passed down, the brand’s staggered drops don’t adhere to the standard fashion calendar, a strategy that continues to be a staple approach throughout its releases.
“We believe a great wardrobe is made through selecting classic, quality items that fit seamlessly with one another,” Koen Prince-Fraser, founder and creative director of Last Pick says. “Developing hundreds of pieces per season is not only wasteful but lacks focus on each garment and drives design towards trends.”
The collection, inspired by ‘50s silhouettes, reimagines the aesthetic through an elevated lens. The stand-out piece from this drop is a knee-length Cashmere Overcoat crafted at Last Pick’s West London atelier. Made to order, the overcoat takes seven days to construct and follows a meticulous design process that focuses on the small details tapping into the overall luxury feel of the range. Boasting horn buttons, viscose lining as well as a hidden jet pocket, the single-breast overcoat arrives in both classic camel and brown cashmere color palettes milled locally in the U.K.
Rounding off the collection is the Fraser Hoodie, a signature layering piece within the brand’s releases. This light gray iteration is crafted from a heavyweight 100% fine organic cotton loopback jersey material. The dropped shoulder gives a nostalgic boxy fit and is complete with tonal “LP” script initials embroidered onto the kangaroo pocket.
