Molly Goddard Drops Exclusive T-Shirt and Bags at Dover Street Market London

British designer Molly Goddard took London Fashion Week by storm, presenting a co-ed Fall/Winter 2022 collection that considered a softer side to menswear. It’s this that caught the eye of Harry Lambert, the stylist for Harry Styles who dressed the singer in a head-to-toe Goddard look for the album cover of Harry’s House, and it seems that the designer’s whimsical nature isn’t going anywhere as the label brings its latest work to Dover Street Market London.

In a ground floor exhibition, Molly Goddard presents an installation curated by Sarah Edwards that sees the designer’s pieces sit alongside collaborative pieces from Goddard’s friends and family. Abstract sculptures of heads made by Mark Goddard sit inside a ceramics cabinet, while a film directed by Tegen Williams documenting the FW22 show will be displayed alongside this in-store.

Tulle, a signature material for Goddard, sits in another cabinet on display to showcase how its colors, texture and form have come together over the years to become a staple signifier of the brand, while hundreds of never-before-seen fitting pictures from FW16 to FW22 are displayed in glass vitrines, offering a looking glass into the designer’s world.

Bringing this all together for the consumer is a selection of T-shirts featuring a print inspired by the illustrator Betty Larom, a British artist who drew for children’s comics in the 1950s and ’60s. Works like Tufty, Baba and Happy’s Holidays evoke a sense of ease, representing a time of innocence and joy, and now titles such as this inspire Goddard’s own tee that sees a bear, child, and dear gather around a field in blue and red tones, as Molly Goddard branding works the rear.

Rounding out the DSML-exclusive capsule are special colorways of the Chiki, Mini Bumpy and Tokyo Body Bag, all of which are available to purchase alongside the T-shirt in-store and online now. Take a closer look at everything above.
