The Traitors player Maddy banished ahead of finale in brutal roundtable

The Traitors contestant Maddy, aka the show’s very own Miss Marple, was banished from the BBC series ahead of the final in scenes that aired on Wednesday night.

The 29-year-old receptionist, who recently confessed that she was an actress in EastEnders, was eliminated from the game after racking up three votes from fellow players Aaron, Hannah, Wilf, and Meryl.

Before being evicted from the castle forever, Maddy revealed to the group that she was in fact a Faithful.

‘I feel like I should’ve left when there was £3,000 in my pocket, but I think money comes and goes in life and I’ve learned so much about hope and belief in yourself and people are more important than money, I think,’ she said.

‘I am a Faithful,’ Maddy added with a curtsey. ‘See you later.’

The group was in disbelief that they hadn’t managed to find another Traitor.

‘I can’t believe we’ve done this,’ Hannah said, while Aaron quipped: ‘Genuinely whoever it is you are so good at this, you are sick, you should be so proud of yourself.’

In the episode’s final minutes, presenter Claudia Winkleman surprised the remaining contestants to reveal that nobody would be getting murdered tonight.

There was a twist, however, with Claudia explaining that the remaining players will choose when the game ends.

‘Tomorrow you are going to face the mission to end all missions,’ she said. ‘Not only that, you’re evening has the highest stakes yet.

‘There will be a roundtable tomorrow and after that, you will decide when the game ends. When you are confident that there are no remaining Traitors, you just tell me and the game ends.’

Claudia wrapped up her speech by reminding the group that if a Traitor or Traitors remain in their midst, then they will take the £81,050 cash prize.

Who is in The Traitors final?

  • Wilf (Traitor)
  • Kieran (Traitor)
