Tommy Hilfiger Introduces Community-Led Gaming Entity: Team Tommy
Tommy Hilfiger has unveiled a new community-driven gaming initiative, dubbed Team Tommy, that intends to uplift global creatives in the gaming domain.
Team Tommy, which consists of eight hand-picked international gamers, will represent the larger gaming community across a series of interactive livestreaming and entertainment platforms under the fashion label. In a bid to establish an even larger presence in the digital landscape, Hilfiger’s gaming crew collectively reaches more than 5.26 million users across the world and more than 1.25 million users on Twitch alone, according to WWD.
The eight official Team Tommy members include Luminum (Australia), Sunsup (France), HoneyPuu (Germany), Nana (Korea), OwengeJuice TV (U.K.), Blaustoise (U.S.), Dish (U.S.) and Dom2k (U.S.).
As Team Tommy members, the aforementioned gamers will participate in weekly livestreams on YouTube Live and Twitch, take part in monthly, livestreamed “Get Togethers” and make in-person appearances at industry events and in-store activations.
With the initiative, Hilfiger plans on supporting Team Tommy gamers with new avenues for content creation and brand partnerships.
“We’ve never done anything like this before,” said Hilfiger in a statement to WWD. “Not only is this an exciting step for us as we enter the metaverse, but we’re connecting with and building relationships with a whole new group of fans and customers. I’m excited to learn from these creative individuals and explore more of their intricate gaming world.”
