Woman complains swimsuit fits badly – but it turns out she’s made awkward error
When spending the day at the pool or the beach, we've all experienced the fear that our swimming costume might show off a little too much.
Normally it ends up being fine and our modesty remains intact, but one woman found herself in a nightmare situation after buying a new swimsuit.
The woman, named Lyndsey, purchased a swimming costume from a online retailer called Pear Swimwear.
She was excited to wear her stylish new swim wear, but claims it quickly left her in a "bad" and "embarrassing" situation.
In a message to the company, Lyndsey complained about how her swimsuit left her "vagina hanging out constantly".
She wrote: "Hey, I wore that swimsuit today. And it's stretch like anything. I only wore it for a couple of hours. My vagina was hanging out constantly. Is it meant to stretch like that?"
Following this, she then shared a photo of herself in the swimming costume, before adding: "This is what it was like. It was so bad and embarrassing. Like it was totally fine at first but then afterwards it was so bad."
Pear Swimwear responded to her complaint – and pointed out that the reason it fit so badly was due to an awkward error on her part.
They said: "Hi Lyndsey, I'm really sorry you were embarrassed by your swimsuit.
"I have had a look at the picture you have sent and believe you are wearing the swimsuit upside down. The swimsuit you have ordered is this one and should look like this.
"There should be a gold pear label on the swimsuit which should sit at the back at the top of your back. The thinnest part of the swimsuit will be the strap which sits across your shoulder. I hope this helps."
Screen shots of the hilarious exchange were shared on Twitter by Lyndsey's friend Emma, who said: "Thank god Lyndsey got chucked out ocean after this."
Her post quickly went viral, garnering over 135,000 likes and more than 29,000 retweets.
Lyndsey later responded to the tweet, clarifying what really happened.
She explained: "I went to Ocean Beach wearing the swimsuit in perfect condition and the CORRECT way – had too much fun with alcohol, went to the toilet a few hours later and put my swimsuit on upside down WITHOUT KNOWING. I then got kicked out after this for being a lightweight NOT a tramp.
She added: "Howling I was wanting a refund on that swimsuit thinking it was faulty."
