Celebrities and shoes go well together especially when they collab with each other. Adam Levine recently dished on Travis Scott’s iconic Air Jordan 4 that Nike launched in 2018. Three years later, a pair of Scott’s Air Jordan 4 is being sold for $1,000 on the resale market.
But an unreleased all-purple collab has reportedly become one of the most coveted pairs among shoe collectors. And on StockX, the shoes are being sold for $35,000.

During his interview on the Sneaker Shopping documentary, Levine revealed how he scored a pair of Scott’s Air Jordan 4 in purple.
He said that Scott sent him a message one day to ask him if he wanted to perform at the Super Bowl. The Maroon 5 frontman said yes but only if Scott will give him a pair of his sneakers.
“I was like, sure you’re going to have to get me those purple friends and family [4s] and the new 1s. I was like, ‘I need this, I need that,’ and he was like ‘Cool.’ I’m like ‘OK, cool, you have a deal.’ That was it,” Levine shared.
To say that Levine is one lucky man is an understatement. After all, getting a pair of Scott’s Air Jordan 4 in purple was not an easy feat.

Kanye West first collaborated with Nike in 2009 when he released his Nike Air Yeezy. After a successful partnership, the rapper decided to partner with Adidas in releasing more Yeezy styles starting in 2013.
West previously revealed that his 2012 Air Yeezy II was the first pair of shoes to have the same level of impact as an Air Jordan. The rapper also wanted to do more and get more royalties that’s why he teamed up with Adidas.
According to Fashion Law, Nike didn’t give Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband royalties from the sales of his Yeezy sneakers.
“With the help of [then-manager] Scooter Braun, [adidas offered West] what appears to be an unprecedented [licensing] deal. [He gets] a 15 percent royalty on wholesale, according to sources familiar with the deal, plus a marketing fee,” Forbes said.
5 Donald Glover x Adidas

Donald Glover collaborated with Adidas in 2019 to remaster the designs of the Continental 80, the Nizza, and the Lacombe. The pairs boast of their minimalist design and functionality.
However, Glover’s partnership with Adidas ended after over a year. The company released a statement announcing the separation.
“The Adidas Originals by Donald Glover partnership has come to an end. Together, Adidas and Glover set out to look beyond the confines of a traditional collaboration inspired by limitless creativity. adidas continues to be inspired by Glover’s visionary creativity and wishes him the best in his future endeavors,” they said.
4 Cardi B x Reebok

Cardi B launched some of the most colorful shoe ranges in 2019 when she teamed up with Reebok in releasing their Aztrek sneakers.
The retro-influenced shoes boast an old-school style, a vintage blocky design, and a dynamic colorway.
During last year’s interview, the award-winning singer revealed that her shoe range was sold out.
“I can go to sleep with the No. 1 record, but I’m going to sleep and think, ‘I need my other album to go No. 1. My sneaker sold out so fast. I need my next sneaker to sell out. I always wonder if I’m going to be satisfied,” she said.
3 Serena Williams x Nike

Serena Williams partnered with Nike in 2018 ahead of the Wimbledon. So, during the sports competition, the tennis superstar sported her off-white Nike trainers.
The NIKEiD style-inspired cleats were painted with pink and purple from top to bottom to make them look more personalized.
In 2019, Williams dished on what she learned from being a Nike-sponsored athlete for most of her life.
“Don’t get in Nike’s space because they do it well! Nike’s such an amazing leader in what they do,” she told CNBC.
2 Kendrick Lamar x Reebok

Hip-Hop superstar Kendrick Lamar first partnered with Reebok in 2015. Throughout the years, the artist has released an entire range of shoes every year that is interlaced with his music and its strong meaning.
In 2016, Damion Presson, Reebok’s director of entertainment, revealed that he courted Lamar for two years before he got the artist to sign with the brand.
“It took about two years to get them to call me back. I was constantly calling, calling, and calling, and finally, we met out in Vegas and had a great meeting. They were ready to do a partnership, and then we actually made it happen,” Presson said.

Pharrell Williams first worked with Puma in 2016 at a time when the NMDs were a huge hit. The singer released colorful pairs with bold statements on top as the design of the shoe.
Williams said that he didn’t just partner with the brand to release a range of shoes but to also promote a far-reaching message.
