Commenting on the success, Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK, said: “It’s an incredible achievement to be recognised for our gin range at such a prestigious competition, not only once, but three times!

“We’ve seen the trend for flavoured gins become increasingly popular over the last few years and we’re thrilled to see that the quality of our products makes them stand out from the crowd with both our loyal customers and gin connoisseurs alike.”

Meanwhile, Aldi had other successes at the Spirits Business Gin Masters.

Its Harrison’s Gin (£15.99) took home a gold medal and its Passionfruit Gin Liqueur (£9.99) was awarded a silver prize.

The award-winning bottles join the supermarket’s own-brand whisky and Sauvignon Blanc, which have also been recommended by taste testers.
