Angie Martinez is taking a simpler approach to beauty these days.
“I do my own makeup now. The pandemic has forced us all to get back to the basics,” the Power 105.1 radio host, 50, told Page Six Style.
“I use Urban Skin RX. I really like their products; I’ve been actually using the moisturizer and the sunblock every day,” she continued. “I will tell you, sunblock is definitely key, whether you are in the sun or not.”
For her hair, Martinez likes It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In Product ($37.99) to condition and boost shine.
“Honestly, my hair is in better shape than before the pandemic, so I’ve been doing less drying, way less heat,” she said.
“I don’t know how long I will be able to keep that up before I get back into the streets, but it has been helpful and made my hair really healthy. I am also letting my eyebrows grow in so I can reshape them.”
And instead of hitting the gym, Martinez is heading outdoors for walks and hikes in an effort to squeeze in those steps and stay fit.
“I was eating really well before quarantine, I was losing weight, and then the pandemic happened,” she said. “But now I’m back on track and I’m going in the right direction, so I feel good about that.”

She’s also giving back. On Saturday, Martinez teamed up with Manzanita Sol to help support local food trucks with $10,000 grants and free meals, including Trinidadian, Puerto Rican, Jamaican and Dominican dishes.
