'Bliss': This mattress vacuum gives you fresh bedding every day in seconds

There’s nothing like the feeling of fresh bedding, but most of us simply don’t have time to change our sheets every day or two.

Although it’s recommended to wash bedding weekly, a survey by Bed SOS found that 67% of Brits leave it longer, with one in five going a month between changes and 8% only changing the sheets four times a year.

We all have busy periods where we forget or neglect our chores, but there is a reason why clean bedding is important – or three, to be exact: dead skin, sweat, and dust mites.

It’s all about finding the balance between good hygiene and a simple daily routine, which is exactly what this nifty device does.

TikToker Luke, who posts as @Lopwert on the platform, recently shared a review of a handheld mattress vacuum claiming to streamline your mornings, purchasing the device after seeing it on social media.

In a video captioned ‘Fresh cleaning bedding. Bliss,’ the creator switches the vacuum on and swipes it over the bed in a few short motions.

The results are clear to see. Despite Luke only spending seconds going over his sheets, he checks the dust canister on the wireless machine to find visible dirt and debris.

Speaking to camera, the self-confessed ‘professional unboxer’ adds: ‘If anyone has their dog sleep in the bed with you – or you just want to clean and sanitise your bedding – off you go!’

It’s impressive stuff, and even more so when you find out that the vacuum costs just £22.99 (was £28.99) on Amazon.

The dust mite remover uses ultraviolet rays to sterilise up to 99% of germs, alongside powerful suction and a triple filter to catch and trap allergens.

It can be used on all soft furnishings, making it ideal for refreshing items that can’t go in the wash like cushions, plush toys, and sofas.

You’ll get up to an hour of use out of a single charge, plus it easily disassembles for easy emptying and cleaning.

Just push back and forth on the bed before you make it, refreshing your sheets ready for a restful sleep that evening (and long-term improvements to breathing and skin health in many cases).

A similar option from VonShef is also available for £29.99 (was £46.99) if you prefer a wired vacuum and require more suction power.

We wouldn’t recommend swapping regular bedding changes for vacuuming, but this is a great solution for those in-between days – particularly if allergies or pet hair is getting you down.
