Boss flooded with job applications after he gives £9,500 Gucci handbags to staff

A boss who rewarded his staff with £9,500 worth of Gucci handbags has been inundated with job applications.

Abul Iman surprised nine workers with the luxury presents for their hard work at his accountancy firm in London.

The 43-year-old, whose immigrant parents earned £10-a-week ironing, made the gesture on Thursday.

Included in the haul was a £580 Gucci handbag for payroll assistant Nilima Promi who was so delighted with the gesture she took to social media to share the experience.

The 22-year-old tweeted photos of her and her colleagues with their purchases with the caption: "My boss bought us all a Gucci bag."

Photos show Nilima and her friends holding expensive Gucci shopping bags.

Another shows her modelling the Dionysus GG Supreme Super Mini bag that she received from her kind-hearted boss.

The post, which has since clocked up almost 35,000 likes online, has social media users green with envy.

@italianamami replied: "I need a boss like this."

@ordainem said: "Does your boss need a cleaner?"

And @BabyFacePT asked: "So, where do you work and who's your boss?"

However, some users were more cynical.

@TheTrapB23 said: "Who you work for a cartel boss?"

And @Steff1885 added: "I wonder what your boss wants in return."

However, Nilima was quick to shut down the haters.

She replied: "Yes we are hiring. I work as a payroll assistant in an accounting company based in east/central.

"Shopping bags aren’t empty, I’m wearing the Gucci bag I bought in the 4th pic.

"Boys also came. None of us s****d any d***. Enjoy your day."

She also confirmed that the firm are currently hiring and included a link to the job advert.
