Daily horoscope for January 17: Your star sign reading, astrology and zodiac forecast

The themes for Friday, January 17, are confusion, creativity and drama. The end of the working week features an aspect described as “interesting” by MarStars Astrology’s Marina Stoichkova.

The day begins with Mercury in Aquarius making a Semi-Square with Neptune in Pisces.

You should expect to encounter confusion and some kind of mistakes during the day

The SemiSquare Aspect is where two planets are 45 degrees apart.

A SemiSquare in this energy appears to be even more deeply blocked and can manifest as external events.

You may be forced to address difficulties in your psyche because these continually manifest as events in the outside world that need dealing with.

Astrologer Marina Stoichkova, from MarStars Astrology, believes this minor challenging aspect can provide some kind of illusion.

She said: “You should expect to encounter confusion and some kind of mistakes during the day.

“There may be occasions when you are forgetful and messy situations may also occur this Friday.”

However, on the positive side, this aspect can also be very inspirational.

She added: “Even though you may mentally be somewhere else, you can still achieve something valuable today.

“Inspiration, creativity and – most importantly – visualisation can all benefit.

“Neptune with Mercury relates to visualising exactly what plans and goals you want to achieve.”

The Moon is in the star sign of Libra until 6pm GMT (1pm ET).

This puts the focus on relationships, balance and harmony until the early evening.

Then around 6pm GMT, Earth’s celestial orb will shift to Scorpio.

The MarStars Astrology expert thinks the astrological atmosphere will then become much more intense following this shift.

She said: “Events can possibly become more dramatic because of this combination.

“And generally there can be some kind of tension, so be more careful during the final third of the day.

“Those feeling a little overwhelmed at this time, should remember things will eventually pass.”
