George Clooney Raffling Dinner At His Lake Como For Charity

George Clooney is opening his Lake Como Villa to one lucky fan and their friend. According to House Beautiful, Clooney recently teamed up with Omaze, a for-profit fundraising company, to pick a winner and their plus one to be flown to Italy and put in a 4-star hotel.

The duo will then travel to Lake Como to have a meal with the Ocean’s Eleven actor and his wife, Amal Clooney.

“When you daydream about life after COVID-19, do you imagine: Getting together with friends. Sharing a meal, maybe a few drinks. Talking about what you’re grateful for. Endless laughter. This is going to be just like that… except your friends are George and Amal Clooney. And you’re joining them at their beautiful home in Lake Como, Italy! You’ll enjoy a meal of their favorite local foods, cheers to life, and snap a photo to remember it all by,” Omaze said in a statement.

Those who wish to join the giveaway may purchase tickets via donations. And the proceeds will be donated to The Clooney Foundation for Justice.

The contest will end on July 16 and the winner will be announced on August 4. There is also a non-contribution option being offered on the site.

This isn’t the first time that Clooney partnered with Omaze. In 2019, he also hosted a fundraiser with the company to help support the Clooney Foundation for Justice.

Back then, he and his wife offered their fans a chance of a lifetime to have lunch with them on Villa Oleandra.

Clooney first fell in love with Lake Como in the early 2000s. And he has reportedly invested millions in the Italian property. Lake Como doesn’t just serve as the actor’s home in Italy; it was also his chosen film location for Ocean’s Twelve in 2004.

The dad of twins purchased Villa Oleandra on Lake Como in 2001, and he paid $13.5 million for it. The massive property boats of 25 rooms, an outdoor pool, a tennis court, a gym, and a garage that holds Clooney’s collection of vintage motorbikes.

Every year, the Clooneys travel to Lake Como for the summer. They have also hosted a slew of their celebrity friends there like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Years later, Clooney purchased the adjacent Villa Margherita because he wanted more privacy. In 2015, the award-winning actor fought with the paparazzi after they kept stalking him and his family for photos.

So, the Mayor of Laglio issued a restraining order to prevent the paparazzi from flocking his home.

Other than Lake Como, Clooney also has several properties in the United States.
