Inside Mike Tindalls close bond with the Royals: Theyre a fantastic family
Mike Tindall is regularly snapped chatting and laughing with members of the Royal Family, and the former rugby player has formed some close bonds with many royals over the years, including Kate Middleton and Prince William.
Mike, 43, married Zara Phillips, Princess Anne's daughter, back in 2011, and he's since proven to be popular among the royals.
The dad-of-three, who shares Mia, eight, Lena, four, and one year old Lucas with Zara, 41, previously credited his wife's grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, for making him feel so welcome at the start of his and Zara's romance.
"I can only say how kind they've been to me, and how welcoming they've been to me since joining the family. And how they've made my family welcome.
"I've always felt part of it and I think that's down to what an amazing woman the Queen is. They're a fantastic family," the rugby ace told The Telegraph.

Mike is known for having a great sense of humour, and back in 2019 he could be seen making the Queen, 96, laugh as they attended Royal Ascot with the rest of the family.
He had everyone laughing as he removed his top hat to unveil a miniature hat inside, with Her Majesty particularly appreciating the joke.
As well as the Queen, Mike shares a close relationship with his mother-in-law Princess Anne, 71, with the pair both being avid rugby fans.
She supports the Scottish rugby team and rarely ever misses a match, having previously jetted abroad to watch the team play, while Mike is a former English rugby union player and was even part of the squad that won the 2003 World Cup.
Prince William, 40, who is Zara's cousin, has also grown close to Mike over the years, with the pair frequently photographed embracing one another at royal events.
While they may have different interests with William preferring football over rugby, they do have certain things in common with them both being hands-on fathers to three children under the age of eight and being part of the royal family.
The Duke of Cambridge has always had a close relationship with his older cousin Zara too, with the duo growing up together along with their siblings, Prince Harry, 37, and Peter Phillips, 44.
Mike has previously opened up about his friendship with the Duchess of Cambridge, 40, who he was recently photographed with joking around at the Platinum Pageant on The Mall in June.
"I text Ellis [Genge] and said, 'Mate, please tell me anything she messed up on' so I could sort of… family WhatsApp group, get to her, and he said, 'No she was actually pretty good, and she was really good at kicking,' and I was like [sighs]. But she has this competitive nature," the 43 year old told his co-hosts on his podcast The Good, The Bad & The Rugby.
It's believed that the Cambridges' three children and the Tindalls' three kids are all close, and at the Platinum Pageant Mike could be seen joking about with Prince Louis, four.
Louis and Kate were sat in front of Mike and his eldest child Mia, and the former rugby ace could be seen chatting to the youngster as started to get restless at the show.
Alongside the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Mike has also formed close bonds with Princess Beatrice, 33, and Princess Eugenie, 32, Zara's cousins, who he's been photographed with on several occasions.
The dad-of-three previously revealed that during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, he enjoyed a "a good cousins' lunch on the Thursday", branding it a "highlight".
One royal family member Mike is especially close to is Zara's older brother Peter Phillips, and the pair even headed to Cheltenham Festival together earlier this year wearing matching caps.
Mike has even made it into the royals' family WhatsApp chat alongside Peter, and according to the Daily Mail, he once revealed: "Me, my brother and then a few of Zara's side like her brother Pete [Phillips] and the cousins are on WhatsApp groups. I wouldn't say we're cutting edge, but it's just easier for some reason on WhatsApp."
He also added on a separate occasion: "It's just what you do to try and set up get-togethers and we are going to something that is the same. If you are going to go, [we discuss things like] 'Are you going to take the kids?' Quite a lot of people have family WhatsApp groups."
