Jonah Hill and his girlfriend, Sarah Brady, wore matching Gucci suits to the premiere of his latest film, “Don’t Look Up.”
But it was shirtless Hill’s chest tattoo that stole the show on Sunday’s red carpet.
Hill and Brady both wore pale blue suits by the Italian fashion house with gold buttons, plus matching mules on their feet.
But if anyone asked Hill, “Who are you wearing?” on the red carpet, the star may as well have responded, “Bert Krak.”
The eye-catching clipper ship on Hill’s chest is by top tattooer Krak of Brooklyn’s Smith Street Tattoo Parlour, sources said. Hill has previously given Krak shout-outs on social media, as well as on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”
Guests at the NYC debut of the film — also starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, Tyler Perry, Cate Blanchett and Timothée Chalamet — included “Succession” star Jeremy Strong, race car driver Danica Patrick, nightlife guru Richie Akiva and “The Many Saints of Newark” star Michael Gandolfini. Insiders also spotted Krak at the event with his wife, Tara.
Hill has shown off the traditional chest tattoo while surfing in LA as far back as 2019. He also has tattoos of a panther and a wolf on either side of the ship — as well as numerous tattoos on his arms.
The star has said that the tattoos have been part of his personal journey to self-acceptance.
In a 2018 interview, Kimmel asked Hill, “You have a lot of tattoos now, when did this happen?” Hill replied, “I feel like I spent my whole 20s trying to be what people wanted me to be, and I didn’t know who I was. And the past couple years have been amazing, in the way of like, I’m just going to be myself.”
When Kimmel told him, “They’re nice tattoos,” the “Wolf of Wall Street” star added, “Shout-out to my man Bert Krak at Smith Street Tattoo.”
Krak told GQ last year that the Smith Street Tattoo Parlour style is “old-school New York City-style tattooing. Classic designs with strong lines and heavy black shading.” The world-renowned Carroll Gardens spot, which opened in 2008, has also been featured in The New York Times.
Hill confirmed his relationship with Brady — who is also an avid surfer, as well as a photographer and environmental activist — in September.
Hill and Brady also each wore necklaces and a trio of brooches on their lapels at the premiere.
They have matched before. She previously posted an image of the duo in identical green sweatshirts last month with the caption, “We’re that annoying mushy gushy couple that wears matching outfits all the time cause we think we’re cute together.”
The Netflix film by Adam McKay hits theaters Dec. 10 before debuting on Netflix on Dec. 24. It follows a duo of low-level astronomers on a media tour to warn mankind of an approaching comet.
