Model says nobody will stand up at your funeral and remember your thigh gap

An influencer is urging women to stop focusing on body image, claiming: "Nobody is going to stand up at your funeral and remember your thigh gap".

Curvy model, Sophie Louise Hughes, is renowned for sharing body positive messages with her over 28,000 followers on Instagram.

And she's recently told women that they won't be remembered for "anything physical" about their bodies – so they may as well enjoy life and make the most of it.

In the past Sophie has personally opened up about her weight loss journey, and she told of how she felt unhappy when she dropped to her lowest weight.

She now embraces her lumps and bumps in all their forms, and often posts unedited and unfiltered snaps to try and show what a true woman really looks like in 2022.

Recently she's been trying to encourage women to focus on their "souls" and "energy", as she said the only things we'll be remembered for his how good we are as people and what we brought to the world.

Writing on Instagram, Sophie said: "No one is going to stand up at your funeral and mention your thigh gap (I mean mainly because I don’t have one but you get the sentiment.)

"They’re also not going to mention your cellulite, the way your belly jiggles, your back roll, your stretch marks

"They’re not going to mention anything physical.

"They’re going to talk about your soul, your energy, how you made them feel, how much of a damn good person, mother, sister, wife you were.

"That’s what’s going to matter when all is said and done, not the number on your jeans, but the number of lives you have impacted.

"Don’t get sucked into believing the only thing you have to offer the world is 'pretty.'

"You are a force, and you mean so much to so many."

Since posting the inspiring message many people have praised Sophie for her uplifting words, with many people having shared a series of red heart emojis to show their love for the post.

One person said: "You look beautiful. I love your hair."

A second added: "Frigging love this", while a third said: "So true babe. Thank you for this."
