Mum left fuming after sister gives her baby same name as her daughter

It's not always easy when it comes to baby names.

Some parents like a unique name, while others keep it very traditional.

One woman recently found herself in quite a pickle when her sister gave birth to a baby girl.

The mum was left raging when her sibling decided to steal the same name and give it to her daughter.

Now posting on Facebook, the anonymous woman asked users in a poll whether she had a right to be mad.

So what do you think?

She said: "My sister has just given birth to her little girl three days ago.

"It annoyed me of all the names in the world my sister has chosen my daughter's name."

She added: "Am I being silly for actually letting this annoy me or am I overreacting?

"We aren't close close but we see each other now and again."

Since she shared her situation, it racked up thousands of comments with many responding to her poll saying it would annoy them.

Meanwhile, around 10 Facebook users responded to the poll telling her to "take it as a compliment".

One wrote: "I'd never call my kids after my sister's kids, it's super weird I don't get how people are saying it's just a name."

Another agreed: "Na that's f***** up like how many names she could choose! I'd be fuming."

A third admitted: "I don't think I'd be raging but I'd definitely be confused about it.

"Like I don't understand choosing the same name as somebody else's child in the family. Very strange anyway."
