My nerves at impressing my American girlfriend got the better of me and I couldn’t keep an erection – The Sun
DEAR DEIDRE: I AM in a relationship with a woman in the US and I want everything to be perfect when we get together.
I flew over to see her at Easter and it was our chance finally to go to bed together.
The foreplay was great but I had trouble keeping an erection long enough for sex, though it was better when she went on top.
I am 44 and she is 39. It’s been a few years since either of us had sex so we were both rather nervous.
She is flying over to see me next month and I don’t want the same thing to happen again.
Should I see a doctor or do you think it was just nerves?
DEIDRE SAYS: Best see your GP to be sure this isn’t a symptom of an underlying medical problem.
Chances are it was down to the pressure of the occasion.
Don’t feel you have to go all the way as soon as you are together. First allow yourselves time to feel comfortable being intimate.
