My partner only wants to have sex twice a year and it's not enough for me
DEAR DEIDRE: WE have only had sex a couple of times in a year. I love my partner a lot but that isn’t enough for me.
I’m a 48-year-old woman and he’s 49.

We’ve been seeing each other for ten years. Three years ago he explained that he couldn’t have sex for a while due to his back problems.
Our sex life has never returned to the way that it was and we only have sex very occasionally.
I don’t approach him for sex as I’m scared that he’ll push me away and I don’t understand what goes on in his head.
I feel hurt and rejected . . . and also frustrated as hell.
I would like sex on a more regular basis but don’t know how to bring up the subject and don’t want to put pressure on him. What should I do?
DEIDRE SAYS: Do you know if his back is better or if he’s still living with pain?
Or was his back just an excuse?
Does he know just how hurt and rejected you feel?
