New dog owner discovers his English bulldog only understands SPANISH while showing how his pet responds to commands in his preferred language

A new dog owner has discovered his English bulldog only understands Spanish.  

TikTok user @girthbrooks1994 from Hobbs, New Mexico, turned his pet Señor Snax into an online star when he shared a video of the pooch only responding to commands that were said in Spanish. 

The man, who also has another dog, explained in his thick Southern drawl that he was given Snax for free, which is why it took him a while to realize that his new pet doesn’t understand English.

Too cute: In the video, Snax can be see responding to commands in Spanish. When the owner says, ‘Dame la mano,’ the dog gives him his paw 

‘These motherf****** gave me this goddamn dog for free, only to find out it speaks Spanish. Come here Snax!’ he said in the now-viral video.

Instead of trying to teach Snax English, the owner has taken to speaking Spanish to his family’s newest addition.  

In the clip, he can be heard saying ‘siéntate’ and ‘dame la mano’ to the dog, which mean sit down and give me your hand, respectively. 

Snax accurately responded to each command, proving that he does indeed understand Spanish. 

The TikTok video has been viewed more than 5.3 million times, and fans loved that he has adopted his pet’s language of choice. 

‘English bulldog? No. Spanish bulldog,’ one person joked, while another added: ‘If you say chuva mi webos that’s to roll over.’

‘It’s even cooler that you took the time to learn the commands in Spanish,’ someone else commented. 

The proud pet owner has dedicated his entire TikTok page to his pooch, saying in his bio that he is the ‘Proud Owner of The Worlds Famous Spanish Bulldog Señor Snax.’ 

Other videos show him playing Spanish music for Snax, introducing him to football, and calling his two dogs his ‘bien boys.’
