Tasha Ghouri was nearly cast in Barbie movie as star says everything happens for a reason

Tasha Ghouri first made her way onto our screens when she starred in last year's Love Island series, but, as it turns out, she nearly found her fame on a much bigger screen. Tasha has exclusively revealed to OK! that she auditioned for the Barbie movie shortly before Love Island filming took place, so was very nearly not a cast member.

The pro dancer also reveals she has no regrets about the way it all panned out, saying “everything happens for a reason," and that the experience led her to meet her boyfriend Andrew Le Page.

Along with letting us in on this big Barbie revelation, Tasha also shares with us a sneak peek at her latest collaboration with lingerie brand Ann Summers, which sees the stunning star modelling the brand’s newest and inclusive collection.

The range includes plenty of pink lingerie pieces that nail the current Barbiecore trend sweeping the Internet, including the Camille set that comes in a candy pink shade and starts from £15 here. If we can look even half as good as Tasha does in it, we'll be shopping it in every colour!

Here, Tasha takes us through the new collection, chats to us about her near Love Island miss and talks romance with her very own Ken…

Hi Tasha! Tell us more about nearly starring next to Margot and Ryan – is it true?

Kind of true! I got to the final round of the auditions to be a dancer in the film but unfortunately didn’t get the job. Filming was at the same time as Love Island so everything does happen for a reason!

You were lucky enough to find the Ken to your Barbie on Love Island. Why do you think you two work so well?

We had our journey in the villa and it got us to where we are now. Communication is key between us both and we’re in a great place. We're about to celebrate our first anniversary and we have our first pup together! We have plans for the future with property developing and just growing together.

I'm so thankful to have met him last year, he was the missing piece in my life.

Your new collaboration with Ann Summer just launched, what was the inspiration behind the latest collection?

The inspiration was bright bold colours and just beautiful underwear, but also adding a bit of sexiness. The collection has a variety of pieces, including bodies, bras, suspenders and camis, and we wanted to make it diverse for every body type out there. I wanted to make everyone feel beautiful and confident.

Do you have a favourite piece?

The Camille set is my favourite. The pink is so stunning and I feel so elegant but also confident in this set. It really brings the summery vibes and I could even style the bra casually to wear out as well!
