Who is Lindsay Lohans husband Bader Shammas as they prepare to welcome first child
Lindsay Lohan has shared the exciting news that she is expecting her first child with her husband Bader Shammas who she married last year.
The Mean Girls actress recently returned to acting following the holiday film, Falling For Christmas which was released on Netflix in November last year – the first major film Lindsay has starred in since 2013.
With the exciting announcement of a new arrival, the spotlight will no doubt remain on the 36 year old along with her husband, Bader Shammas who she married in July 2022.
Lindsay and Bader announced their engagement in late November 2021 and got married less than a year later.
The couple likes to keep their relationship under wraps most of the time with some people not knowing Lindsay was even married until she referred to him as her "husband" on social media.
The mum-to-be shared a glimpse into marriage life on November 8 during an appearance on Good Morning America when she called being married to Badar "amazing".
She also said "I'm really lucky" and "I found my partner and he's an amazing man and we're a great team."
The 36 year old is a financier and currently works as the Assistant Vice President at banking firm Credit Suisse.
Previously he worked as an associate with BNP Paribas Wealth Management.
In 2010, he graduated from the University of South Florida in Mechanical Engineering and received a Bachelor of Science in Finance degree from John H. Sykes College of Business.
Due to the under the radar relationship Lindsay and Bader prefer, it is unclear the exact date the duo tied the know.
Lindsay first shared a glimpse into their relationship for the first time in February 2020 when she posted a photo of herself out with band members Bastille at a concert in Dubai, which she initially captioned, “@aliana lovely night with my sister and my boyfriend Bader such a magical night.”
Shortly after, she edited the caption and eventually deleted it completely.
In 2021, the Independent reported that the pair had been together for around two years, so now it should be roughly three years in.
In March 2022, it was reported that Lindsay and Bader had begun wedding planning just four months after he proposed.
An insider then shared that there could be a wedding in Dubai and in the U.S – a source told US Weekly: “It’s going to be intimate. You don’t see her out and about anymore. Lindsay really likes her privacy".
The earliest time on record to confirm their marriage to the public is in July 2022 when Lindsay shared a photo of them together, referring to Bader as her husband.
In the Instagram post she wrote: "I am the luckiest woman in the world. You found me and knew that I wanted to find happiness and grace, all at the same time. I am stunned that you are my husband. My life and my everything. every woman should feel like this everyday".
Where do they live?
The couple lives in Dubai, which is where Lindsay has been for the last seven years.
In 2018, she shared that settling down in Dubai was a huge shift from her previous living situations.
She previously told W Magazine: “I felt so relieved when I moved everything over from London to Dubai and I saw everything in one place.
“Now I don’t have to open suitcases and live out of hotels and bags. Everything is where it should be. It’s a cleansing of your head, which is what I needed, and it took me a while to do it.”
