You really can trust the internet to get all riled up over nothing and today's subject is butter.

Posting to the Facebook group, Family Lockdown Tips and Ideas, Jules made her bombshell confession.

Instead of scraping the butter off the top of the packet, this food maverick digs down the side and uses up the butter from the outside inwards.

“My husband thinks I’m weird, does anyone else scrape their butter from the tub this way? I’ve always done it.”

A third wrote: "It's not often I say a man is right, but I'm with your husband on this one… You're weird."

And one commented: “I do this! Didn't know it was seen as 'not normal'.”

Another was in support, with one person saying: “Yes! I do this! I hate a messy tub.”

A third deemed the approach “efficient” saying: “It's efficient, why wouldn't you do it like that?”

The fresh rage comes after an angry shopper sparked a similarly furious debate after suggesting that children should be banned from sitting in trolleys.

The comment went viral after parents in the Facebook group couldn’t believe the man’s suggestion.

His unlikely parenting tip did not go down so well after hundreds of mums and dads fired back their thoughts on his idea.

The man posted in a Facebook group called Overheard in Aldi, saying children should not be "where food goes" and it "annoys him".

He wrote: “Kids inside trolleys where food has to go really annoys the hell out of me. Anyone else thinks stores should ban this practice and approach the culprits?"

His post was met with outrage from parents who argued that it's fine to have your children sit where you put your shopping.
