Alex Jones to make surprise return to The One Show after maternity leave

Alex Jones is to make a surprise return to The One Show after maternity leave tomorrow night.

Fans were thrilled to find out that presenter Alex will make a comeback to their screen tomorrow night.

Alex will appear on the BBC show alongside Jermaine Jenas and Ronan Keating for the last episode before the Christmas break.

During last night's episode The One Show was hosted by Ronan and presenter Angellica Bell who revealed the exciting news.

Last nights show featured guests David Oyelowo, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Gabby Logan.

As well as Spider-Man: No Way Home actor Tom Holland, who surprised a special real-life superhero for the BBC show's One Big Thank You segment.

At the end of the show, Ronan previewed tonight's programme.

He said: "Last show of the year tomorrow. Alex Jones will be back. She'll be joining myself and JJ to talk Strictly ahead of this weekend's final.

Angellica added: "We'll always be joined by Lad Baby, who are hoping to have their fourth number one single this Christmas."

Alex has only appeared a few times since going on maternity leave back in August.

Since, she has welcomed a little girl called Annie.

Alex also has two sons, Teddy and Kit.

In September, the mum-of-three made a "special" appearance on The One Show.

At the time, she said: "Ah, it is so nice to be back. You know what, we have been great. The boys are taking to little Annie brilliantly. Annie is here with mum and dad."

"I've literally, honestly… she has just gone back to mum. I had to feed her. She's out there."

Jermaine then revealed why she had decided to come back for the one-off presenting gig, adding: "Well you are back for a special reason as well aren't you, to help us reveal the RHS Garden of Hope at the Chelsea Flower Show today."
