BGT winner Jai McDowall unveils epic transformation over 10 years after ITV show
Britain's Got Talent champ Jai McDowall has dished on his hunky transformation over a decade after winning the ITV talent show – and why he now feels more confident than ever.
The Scottish singer-songwriter won the fifth series of Britain's Got Talent back in 2011, which bagged him £100,000 and a performing slot at the 2011 Royal Variety Performance.
Jai narrowly beat bookies' favourite Ronan Parke after dazzling the nation with his singing voice as well as then-judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Michael McIntyre and David Hasselhoff.
Since leaving the show, Jai's kept himself busy with a handful of projects, such as touring the UK with his star-studded theatre show Les Musicals with G4 frontman Jonathan Ansell.
However, some fans might be wondering what the Scottish hunk looks like these days, given it's been over a decade since he first walked onto the stage to audition for the BGT judges.
Jai spoke exclusively to Daily Star's Sam Huntley about nose surgery, fawning fans, and why he feels more confident in his appearance.
He had fans swooning over his epic new look when he appeared on Britain's Got Talent: The Champions in 2019, a moment published in an array of outlets at the time.
And it turns out Jai was surprised by his friends who messaged him about the news stories.
Asked if he saw the comments, Jai said: "My friends did and sent it to me being like 'have you seen this?', and I was like 'no, because I don't Google myself!', but yeah I've got a few of that.
"To be fair, it was quite nice, because obviously I've changed a lot in the last ten years, so I was like 'I'll take that'!"

Jai revealed he had to go in for nose surgery to save his singing voice as he suffered from a deviated septum which was making him sick.
The singer brutally broke his nose after stepping in to break up a bar fight, and he explained he didn't like how his nose looked as it wasn't how it used to be.
Jai recalled: "I had a deviated septum. I got my nose broken years ago in a pub fight. Annoyingly, I was just trying to split it up.
"I used to work behind the bar and this pub. The nose got broken and since then it was deviated and it got to a point where, weirdly enough, I was doing cruises and you can't turn the air-con off.

"So I was getting really bunged up all the time, and I was like 'what it going on?' I was always getting sick on cruises beacuse I'd always have this horrible thing.
"I went to the doctor and he was like 'no, you've got a really small septum. You're going to have to get it fixed."
After a few appointments through the help of a friend, Jai got his nose sorted out, and he said the results were "great".
Jai also used it as an opportunity to get a nose job as his nose was already broken, and he was delighted with the results and felt like it did "wonders" for his confidence.
He previously hated when people took photos of his face from the side as it exposed his broken nose.

Jai said: "Because my nose got broken, I didn't like my nose after that because it wasn't my nose anymore, it was weird. That sounds really vain! But when I knew I had a deviated septum and had to get it broken, I was like 'could you just take a wee bit off of here? [gestures to the bridge of his nose].
"So yeah, it was good! And it's one of those things where it has done wonders for my confidence because I knew my nose was a wee bit bent and crooked. I'd always hate when people took photos from the side. But ever since, I feel fine."
"It was a really nice procedure. Obviously I had black eyes for about three weeks and big bandages and stuff, but it was worth it."
Jai released his latest single, a cover of All of Me by John legend, last summer.
