Dancing On Ices Brendan claims ITV show is getting personal amid tension
Dancing On Ice is taking no prisoners according to skating star, Brendan Cole as he prepares for the upcoming semi-final of the programme.
The professional dancer who is partnered with Vanessa Bauer has beaten off competition from the likes of former singer Rachel Stevens and Love Island bombshell, Liberty Poole.
Brendan, 45, has claimed that there is an "exciting weekend ahead" that will leave fans on the edge of their seats while watching the ITV programme.
He took to social media, resharing a post from the official Dancing On Ice profile revealing that the pair will be skating to She by Elvis Costello.
Alongside the announcement, he penned: " An exciting weekend ahead… A double elimination and things are getting personal!"
Several of Brendan's 93,400 Instagram followers instantly flooded to the comment section of the post to share their best wishes for him and Vanessa.
"G ood luck to you both!! Really hope you get to the final," gushed one.
While a second added: "Vote team Brenessa!"
"Just wish the voting time was longer find it hard to do my online votes and phone votes at the same time," added a third.
This week, Brendan, The Vamps' Connor Ball, Pussycat Dolls star Kimberly Wyatt, BMXer Kye Whyte and dancer Regan Gascoigne are all competing for the chance to win the programme.
Meanwhile, sources claim that the tension is rising behind the scenes as each contestant is attempting to be better than their rivals.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, a source said: "This year, the show is the most competitive it's ever been.
"They all want to win it and the standard is so high, you could cut the atmosphere with a knife, you can really feel the tension.
"They're all training like crazy. Nobody is interested in being second, they all want to win."
Fans however were left in fits of rage when it was announced that the finale episode would be pushed back to fit the FA Cup Quarter Final into the tele schedules.
The match between Nottingham Forest and Liverpool will take place at 6pm on March 20, the time Dancing On Ice would normally air on ITV.
Instead, the final will air one week later on March 27 but some fans were still left furious, with one sharing on social media: "Can't believe we have to wait two weeks for Dancing On Ice final after this week."
A second added: "I wish ITV would stop changing their schedule every two minutes."
"Just put the sport on all the bloody sport channels and leave #DancingOnIce alone," fumed a third.
Dancing On Ice returns to ITV at 6pm on Sunday.
