Giovanna Fletcher’s brother scoops £9k after placing huge bet on I’m A Celeb win

Mario Falcone has won a whopping £9,000 following his sister Giovanna Fletcher 's victory on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! on Friday (Dec 4) night.

The 32-year-old reality TV star decided to place a £1,000 bet on his older sibling being crowned Queen of the Castle – and he was clearly right to do so.

Friday's final saw the show's host Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly announce that Giovanna, 35, had received the most votes and beaten fellow finalist Jordan North.

Speaking before her win, Mario told The Sun : "I've got a cheeky bet on my sister – from day one – so I'll be pretty happy. I got nine to one odds and I put £1,000 on….

"If she doesn't she owes me grand," he cheekily added.

The former Towie star also went on to say he thinks his big sister will embark on a career as a television presenter following her stint on I'm A Celeb.

"She has that warmth and she's very engaging," Mario explained.

"I think people will like that positivity. If she's the first face you see in the morning on your TV, you're gonna have a good day.

"So I'd be very surprised if someone doesn't snap her up for presenting."

But for now, Giovanna will be looking forward to spending some well-earned quality time with her husband Tom Fletcher and their three young sons.

Upon watching Giovanna be crowned Queen of the Castle, McFly star Tom took to Instagram to share an adorable video of him with their six-year-old son Buzz.

Witnessing her reaction, Tom's face broke out into a smile, and he shouted: "Yes, she did it!"

Meanwhile, Buzz – who had covered his face with his hands in nervous anticipation – yelled: "Mummy! Mummy won!"

Tom and Giovanna, who tied the knot eight years ago, share three young sons together – Buzz, Buddy and little baby Max.

The lovebirds' history together goes much further back, as they first started dating at the tender age of 13 when they were seated next to one another in the Sylvia Young Theatre School.
