Jason Aldean Hates Being Forced to Cancel Country Stampede Set Over Storm
Taking to social media to personally apologize for the cancellation, the ‘Drowns the Whiskey’ singer insists that the safety of his fans, band and crew comes first in such situation.
AceShowbiz -Country star Jason Aldean has apologised to fans after severe weather forced him to cancel a gig in a Kansas on Saturday night (June 22).
The singer was billed to headline the Country Stampede event at Heartland Motorsports Park in Topeka when organisers had to scrap the show as rain lashed down.
The festival had been put on hold earlier in the day and promoters were hoping the storm would pass, but it didn’t.
Early on Sunday, Aldean took to social media to personally apologise to his fans, explaining in a video, “We always hate to do that. It’s a last resort.”
Aldean said that he and his band had performed in the rain before, but the threat of a lightning strike was too much of a risk.
“The safety of my fans and the safety of my band and crew is something we put first.”
Jason added, “We were here ready to party with you guys and have fun. I hated that it went down like that.”
